Some times you have to make the best of bad situations. That happens a lot in spring Steel Head fishing.Rain, sleet, snow ,we have seen it all.My clients were pretty depressed,I would not say it, but so was I. With a bit of hiking, targeting soft edges on the inside bends of the river, we were able to manage some nice fish.Strike indicator fishing, becomes a big advantage to making proper presentations with you're fly, through these havens for fish pushing off to the sides of the rivers to rest and conserve energy. It is actually a no brain er. Keeping them out of big water is a whole other issue. When you are stuck in a similar situation, when you cannot rearrange you're schedule try it you will be glad you did.
